Robotwars arena heeft een nieuwe eigenaar.
Announcement Regarding The 'Robot Wars' Arena
As you may have been aware, The 'Robot Wars' Arena, formerly owned by Mentorn was recently put up for sale. This arena has now been purchased by a partnership including roboteers and events professionals, interested in securing the arena for the future of the sport.
The arena has been purchased in its entirety, including the polycarbonate screening - and the first step that will be taken will be to offer to host, for the FRA (Fighting Robot Association) a major Robot Combat event in the UK - on the same scale as 'Robot Wars', however with a 100% emphasis on the audience (and roboteers) enjoying a sport rather than pure entertainment.
There is much to be done, however we felt it was essential that we let the community know that the arena has been secured, and that investment is being made to ensure that it remains as an asset for many years to come. We have been invited to the next FRA meeting to present our ideas, and to discuss where we all go from here, including opportunities for the community to become involved either financially or otherwise with the project.
More statements on this matter will be issued in the near future, on this forum and through other appropriate media channels once we have discussed our plans with the FRA.

Gentlemen, no fighting please. This is, after all, a council of war.

Hopelijk staan jullie klaar.
